Diego’s legal journey began at the University of Central Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies. He then went on to pursue his Juris Doctor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, one of the top law schools in the nation. While at UF Law, Diego’s passion for criminal defense was evident. He interned with the Public Defender’s Offices in both Miami and Orlando, actively participated in the esteemed Public Defender Clinic, and earned a Concentration in Criminal Justice Certificate—recognition of his dedication to studying the criminal legal system.

After passing the Florida Bar, Diego began his career as an Assistant Public Defender in Hillsborough County. Starting in the misdemeanor division, he quickly rose through the ranks due to his sharp legal knowledge, skill in trial advocacy, and unyielding dedication to his clients. He handled cases involving Domestic Violence, DUI, Assault, and other misdemeanor charges before being promoted to the felony division in just one year. There, Diego represented clients facing serious felony charges, including drug trafficking, weapons offenses, robberies, and burglaries.

Diego later transitioned into private practice, where he took on even more complex and high-stakes cases, including murder, sexual battery, and human trafficking. As a private defense attorney, he successfully guided clients through every stage of their cases—from pre-file investigations to final trial verdicts—earning a reputation for meticulous preparation and fearless advocacy.
